Good coffee starts with a few small choices. Find a brewing method you enjoy, then change one thing at a time.

Freshly ground. Slowly brewed.

Pour-over

A paper filter makes a clean, light cup. Rinse the filter, add the grounds and pour slowly in circles. Keep your pouring rhythm steady.

French press

Use a coarse grind and let the coffee steep before pressing gently. Pour the finished coffee into a cup so it does not keep brewing.

Moka pot

Fill the lower chamber to just below the valve. Add coffee loosely to the basket, without tamping, and use a gentle heat.

A few useful notes

Start with a simple ratio

For filter coffee, try 15 grams of coffee to 250 grams of water. Treat this as a starting point and adjust to your taste.

Change one thing

Keep the dose and water the same while you adjust the grind. Write down what you liked so you can make it again.

Keep beans fresh

Store beans in a closed container away from light and heat. Grind only what you need for the next brew.

The best recipe is the one you want to make again.
